Training & Events Terms & Conditions
- Receipt of a payment and acceptance of Terms and Condition along with the supply of the required minimum student data render students liable for full payment of their course fees, subject to reasonable interpretation and the specific limitations contained under cancellation policies below.
- Full course fees are payable regardless of whether the student completes the course, or is successful. Full payment is not a guarantee of final certification where full attendance and/or satisfactory completion of all assessment criteria is required.
- Students who are not up to date with payments may be prevented or become in-eligible to attend classes, workshops or examinations.
- If there is a stated deposit the payment of it books your place with the balance to be paid no later than 30 days prior to your first chosen event date. Access to any study materials that may be required prior to attendance will only be provided once full payment is received. Late bookings/payments may result in access to materials being issued on the first day of training and it is the responsibility of the student to familiarise themselves with these materials and not the tutor/presenter.
- Access to course materials will be granted within 7 working calendar days of full payment being received unless other terms agreed in writing with the students specific training provider. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure printing and/or viewing of the materials prior to attendance on the course. Other arrangements may be offered on a one to one basis but the training centre is under no obligation to provide printed materials in advance of or on the day of attendance on an event.
- If cancellation is received before materials are accessed by the student and 21 days prior to the event then a full refund will be issued. No refunds will be given after this period or after the student has accessed and/or downloaded any or all of .the supplied training materials. Any hard copy materials issued to you are required to be returned in an ‘as new’ condition if cancelling – no refunds will be despatched until any/all issued materials are received in this condition. For multiple date events, any cancellation of dates received less than 14 days prior to stated dates may incur a discretionary penalty fee of up to €75 per date, module or element.
- You must complete all dates and achieve a successful pass in any written and/or practical assessments along with any case study work required. No certificates will be issued until all sections of any given event have been successfully completed to the satisfaction of the Michael King Pilates and its representatives. This does not affect certificates issued by and external governing body unless outstanding payments exist.
- If Michael King Pilates is for any reason unable to complete all elements of training on the scheduled timetable all reasonable attempts will be made to provide the candidate with supplementary training solutions. The student will be asked to confirm acceptance of these provisions as final resolution in writing.
- Retakes of assessments will be arranged on a case to case basis. Retakes may incur fees relating to assessment time and administration. If charged these may range from €25 to €75 dependent upon circumstances but will be fully advised prior to scheduling of any ‘retakes’. All fees are payable on re-booking and are non-refundable.
- Students have 1 (one) year, from attendance or viewing of all elements, to successfully complete any individual event that requires multiple dates and/or assessment processes. Extension to this period is on an individual review basis and the Michael King Pilates and its representatives is under no obligation to grant such requests. Students are encourage to contact the training centre as soon as they are concerned about any deadline for completion being passed without completion of the required elements. MK Pilates are not responsible for advising the student when this period is approaching the year or has the year has been passed.
- All bookings must be completed on the www.mkpilates.com website through your student record. no place can be guaranteed until dates and selected and full agreed payments are made. attendance can be refused unless both actions completed. in such circumstances mk pilates and its representatives cannot accept any responsibility for expenses or loss of income incurred as a result of the student being refused entry onto the event.
- All travel and accommodation expense and loss of earnings resulting from the attendance on a Michael King Pilates event are the full responsibility of the student attendee. Michael King Pilates and its representatives under no circumstances accepts any liability for these costs under any circumstances.
- Places are subject to availability and Michael King Pilates and its representatives reserves the right to cancel, withdraw, change or move a workshop to another venue or date. They shall notify the students of such changes within a reasonable time from the prospective date of the course. Michael King Pilates and its representatives shall not be held liable for any loss off earnings or travel and accommodation expenses as a result of such changes. MK Pilates assures its students that while venues may change, the city or town of the event will not be changed unless under exceptional and unavoidable circumstances out with the control of MK Pilates and its representatives.
- Cancellations caused by circumstances outside of our control such as weather, travel issues, strikes or emergency circumstances at one of our venues, cannot be held as the responsibility of Michael King Pilates and its representatives. Michael King Pilates and its representatives will make all reasonable attempts possible to respond to such circumstances on an individual basis to achieve a mutually satisfactory resolution.
- Michael King Pilates and its representatives reserve the right to eject any candidate from an event after an initial verbal warning with no obligation to reimburse any course fees paid by the student. In such instances all reasonable attempts will be made to assist in the completion of the candidates training programme depending on the nature of the incident/s.
- Michael King Pilates does not allow use of the materials provided for any purpose other than the study of the student. Any duplication or copying of all or any portion of the supplied materials is in direct breach of copyright laws and will result in legal proceedings including full re-imbursement of all legal costs incurred.
- Unless directly stated otherwise all courses and materials as designed to facilitate a teacher working with a client environment. The materials and content are in no way intended as or deemed to be sufficient for any student to subsequently train fellow teachers. Michael King Pilates and its representatives will under no circumstances vouch for any student who subsequently proceeds to teach fellow teachers to work with the course contents and provides no prior learning credit to any student exposed to our training content through sources not aprt of the official training centres and its tutors.
- Medical Health Disclaimer: Due to the inherent risk involved in any physical activity Michael King Pilates and its representatives cannot take any responsibility for the safety of and well-being of a student beyond those environment issues considered expected for normal circumstances such as standard venue usage Health & Safety considerations. It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to gauge their health and participation suitability considerations when participating on an MK Pilates Event. There is no requirement to perform any activity which may be contraindicated for the participants’ health or pre-existing medical conditional or injuries. MK Pilates and its representatives are not qualified to make medical evaluations.
