As a long-time friend and health industry colleague of Michael King, Eric has taken a rich and varied path to his present position as Founder of the Back to Total Health Clinic in West Hollywood, Los Angeles.
As Pilates practitioners, we frequently encounter, hear of and work with the Physiotherapist world, but we often have only a minimal understanding or experience of modern Chiropractic teachings and practices.
Join Michael and Eric as they try to get to the bottom of what is a ‘Chiropractor’ and specifically what is it that Eric thinks of and aims to achieve when a new client comes through his door. Then how, practically, does a chiropractor go about achieving that goal.
The founder of Back to Total Health Clinic in Los Angeles, Dr. Eric grew up in Dallas , Tx a fat kid with little interest in sports or exercise. Eric was plagued with everyone else’s desire for him to be thin. He discovered aerobic classes at age 17 (now called group exercise) and he was able to lose 50 pounds and change the course of his life forever.
At the University of Texas while studying advertising, he started teaching his own group classes in his dorm and a star was born.
- He moved to Los Angeles in 1989 with a dream to have a career in fitness
- He was hired to teach classes at Jane Fonda’s Workout and many other popular studios around Los Angeles
- Trained Hollywood’s Elite; VIP’s included Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Curry, Darren Star, and many more...!
- He traveled the world for 5 years doing workshops and masterclasses for other instructors at fitness conventions
- His unique ability to create a fun workout class that anyone could follow had him expand into motivational speaking and a product line
- He went back to school in 1998 to become a chiropractor, marrying the love of fitness, chiropractic, and overall wellness
- Now he has brought together a team of highly skilled doctors and therapists to create the best Wellness Center in West Hollywood
