What is our Professional Membership
Our new Professional Membership programme has been created to help and support teachers in becoming part of the wide Pilates community of teachers and training providers.
To be supported by MKP in their professional development and recognised for their development by the monitoring of their annual CPDs and allowing individual teachers to have a voice in the development of the Pilates profession.
Pro Members can also take advantage of our exclusive member only resources and offers.
This membership is designed for individuals who work in the Pilates Method.
This includes:
- MK Pilates Matwork Trained or Comprehensively Trained Instructors
- Instructors who have mapped over to MK Pilates through our Bridging Programme
- Clinical professionals who have trained in the MK Pilates Method
- Pilates enthusiasts who are continually seeking more knowledge and experience in the Pilates method

MK Pilates is a leader in Pilates Instructor Training with training centres in 29 countries and with both our faculty and instructors we continue to promote the Pilates Method with, Courses and Events and MK Pilates Classes.
Whenever possible we also promote the Pilates Method and talk positively about the community and its goals to move the Method forward whenever possible and be accountable for the experience of the public and both our health and fitness industry colleagues.

Training Room Trial*
All new Registrations on our web site get an initial 14 days free access to the Training Room where we have our recorded classes. We are very proud of having over 200 classes already in the Training Room with more being added every month. We offer Matwork, Studio Apparatus, Barre, Spirals, Stretch & Functional Fitness classes.
Full access to Training Room
You will have full access to the Training Room. You can have your own workout at home but also of course see many ideas and styles of class. We want to provide you with all support to help you complete successfully and we feel the recorded classes can help you in your training and personal practice.
Full access to our Virtual Studio
You will have full access to attend the Virtual Studio live classes so you are able to see us and we can see you doing your own practice. These classes will be counted towards your observed practice hours required for the Diploma Courses.
Free Attendance to Online Webinars
Come join one of our Live online talks which we have been running over the last 14 months where guests come and share their expertise in many areas from Spine Health, Chinese Medicine, Marketing and the history of Pilates.
Event & Course catch Up
All paid online events and online courses are recorded and you will have access to these in the weeks after the event or course has finished. These stay permanently in your account and are a great way to come back and refresh.
Members Newsletter
We want our Pro Members to be updated each month by news that will help keep you updated from the latest research to also news with the Pilates community. We also will be sharing exclusive articles to you on subjects we feel important to your teaching.
Online Annual Members Day
Join us at one of our annual Members Day Events, either Live Events or Online where we bring you workshops and sessions exclusively for our Pro Member teachers. You are encouraged to attend live but a recording of the event will be placed into your account. Please note 8 CPDs awarded for live attendance of the events.
Exclusive Partner Discounts
For specifically our MK Pilates Pro Members, we will add on top of our Standard Membership programme. early bird offers, added discounts to existing partner companies products plus offers only available to Pro Members from our partner companies.
Discounted Education
Many of the MK Pilates courses or events will be available for MK Pro Members with discounts of up to 30% off. This applies to both our Online and Face to Face Courses and Events. We believe this is a great benefit to take advantage of all of our courses including Barre and Spirals Programmes. Also Pro Members will receive discounted rates to our Virtual Studio.
Book Club Membership
Each month receive our newsletter where we focus on a new book with a review of the book. We will share reviews and recommendation for books which cover many subjects relating to both teaching, anatomy, alternative modalities as well as potentially sale and marketing.
Priority Booking
MK Pilates Pro Members will be given VIP advance booking for any event or workshop which has restricted participation and you will be given advance notification for events and courses. Book your place before the event or course is released to our database or advertised through social media platforms.
Catch up of Online Webinars
MK Pilates Pro Members will have free access to recordings of our online talks so if you are unable to attend live talks you can catch up when you are able. We hope this allows you to take full benefit of these events. For standard Members access to these recordings will be charged at a small fee.
Your Professional Brand
SPM Membership*
When your training meets the new requirements of the new SPM standard for Matwork Teacher or Comprehensive Teachers we will put you forward for entry onto the SPM Register of Teachers (SPMRT). Look at the SPM website for full information. The first years fee with SPM is included in your Pro Membership fee.
Tracking of Annual CPDs
As part of MK Pilates commitment to SPM we have guaranteed our teachers maintain their CPD’s to ensure the highest quality of professionalism. All of your CPD’s will be recorded with us, even if achieved with another training school. The CPDs will be recorded and visible within your training record.
Teacher Directory LISTING
MK Pilates pro Members will be listed with an enhanced profile where you can promote your location, website etc. and also promote any other qualifications, or programmes, systems or areas of expertise that you offer with direct contact from the public through our website.
Voice of the Industry
As members of The Society for the Pilates Method (SPM) through MK Pilates you will have a voice in the direction of the organisation and its goals. We will come to you on any decision we will make which impacts the Society and its teachers. These decisions will be presented to you for your input and opinions before MK Pilates meets with SPM.
Mentor Programme Discounts
The mentor programmes it gives you chance to work directly with Michael and Malcolm or one of the MK Tutors in helping you either work on specific training needs or on a more apprenticed system where we look at you teaching and give ongoing feedback for your development. This is on a One to One basis and as a Pro Member you will have access to discounted rates for this area of our programmes.
PRO Member Listing
Your status as one of our Professional Members will be recognised on our teachers directory. Pro Members, with their promise of staying updated through ongoing education and having their CPD’s recorded by MK Pilates, will be promoted for their commitment to the Pilates Method and the maintenance of a high standard of teaching skills with our Industry.
Enhanced Directory Profile
Our pro members will have access to new exclusive listing benefits and have the ability to add more social media links and well as other benefits only available to these members. We want our Pro Members to stand out and also be more visible on our own web site. We will be adding more functions and opportunities over time as we expand our services.
Use of the MK Pilates Logo*
As a Pro Member you are able to use your member logo in your marketing materials, and all we ask is that you simply submit your design for approval. The use of the MK Pilates logo is also available again with written approval on a case by case basis.
